Founder & President, Bethany Smith
Bethany has a robust background in commercial lending with experience at Huntington National Bank, Capital Bank, and Fidelity Bank. With roles ranging from Senior Commercial Credit Analyst and Portfolio Manager to Senior Business Development Officer, Bethany has a comprehensive understanding of commercial loan underwriting and business development.
From 2020 to 2023, Bethany produced an impressive $185 million in loans while managing the largest loan portfolio within her institution, totaling over $160 million in active loan commitments. This extensive experience and “get it done” approach has built a level of confidence and respect amongst her lender network, which she’s excited to bring to her company: Elevate Capital Consulting.
Bethany is passionate about helping other businesses find the right financing solutions. Throughout her career, she found it disheartening to have to turn away potential borrowers simply because their needs didn't align with her institution's parameters at that moment in time. It became her personal goal to identify industry peers that could offer assistance to the borrower, not for any reason other than doing the right thing. Now, she’s excited to have the ability to find solutions for just about any loan request, thanks to her unique access to a wide range of lenders.
Bethany’s motivation stems from a desire to assist those who may feel reluctant or overwhelmed by the lending process. She is committed to being an advocate, to guide clients through the complexities, and to ensure they secure competitive terms.
Outside of work, Bethany enjoys time with her husband, Jake, and their son Easton. She enjoys cooking, crafting, hiking, paddleboarding and exploring new restaurants around the Triangle. Her happy place is anywhere on the water and can often be found on the boat or beaches along the Crystal Coast.
